Pilates FAQs

66 What happens if I miss a class?

At the end of each course (except the summer course) there is a break week which coincides with the Lincolnshire school holidays, some classes will still run and these classes can be booked as catch up classes or attended as extra classes if you wish to attend and haven’t missed any during the course.

For our reformer classes there may be the opportunity to catch up on missed classes in another class during the course however spaces are very limited so this isn’t guaranteed. If you would like to book a catch up class please contact our Pilates team on info@physiofitstamford.co.uk.

Missed classes cannot be carried over to the next course.

66 What happens at the end of the course?

Your place in your class is provisionally retained until you let us know you no longer want to keep it. Payment is taken at the end of the previous course to guarantee the place. At the end of each course your instructor will discuss with you whether you are ready to move up to the next level.

66 Do I need to bring anything with me to the class?

We provide all the equipment that you need, including mats and blocks however for hygiene purposes we ask that you bring a thin mat or large towel to cover our mat and a small towel to cover our head blocks.

We recommend that you bring a full water bottle to class.

66 Do you sell any Pilates Equipment?

We have the following equipment for sale. Please contact us via email should you wish to order.

Resistance bands: £5
2.5cm blocks: £4
5cm blocks: £6
Chi balls: £18
Grippy socks: £4
Water bottles: £3

All equipment except resistance bands will be posted therefore postage and packaging charges will be added to your order.

66 What should I wear?

You need to wear loose clothing that you can move in easily. Most people wear tracksuit bottoms or leggings, and a t-shirt and jumper/sweatshirt. The mat based classes can be done in socks or barefeet but we ask that socks are worn on the reformer for hygiene reasons. Non-slip Pilates socks are recommended on the reformer for safety reasons and can be ordered via your instructor or contacting our reception.
